Original Senhor do Bonfim Fitinha – Traditional Bahia Bracelet

FITA-BA-YELW

These famous fitas good-luck ribbons, originating from Salvador de Bahia, are both a religious symbol and an element of the rich Afro-Brazilian folklore. Today, they are worn on the wrist as a fashion accessory or during events and parties. Ideal as a welcome gift or to validate entry at a party!

According to popular tradition, each ribbon is tied around the wrist or ankle with three knots. Before tying each knot, a wish is made mentally, which must remain secret until the ribbon naturally breaks. When the ribbon breaks, it signifies that the wish has been granted.

These ribbons are highly sought after for themed parties, weddings, and other ceremonies. They can also serve as decorations: hung from the ceiling, attached to walls, chairs, or used in banquet halls and restaurants.

The bracelets we offer are the official printed Senhor do Bonfim bracelets, purchased directly from Salvador de Bahia, where they are traditionally sold in front of the Church of Bonfim. Known for their quality and durability, they should not be confused with satin or other material bracelets sold elsewhere. Original bracelet guaranteed!
