Born on August 27, 1965 in Salvador, Valmir Santos Damasceno was introduced to the world of Capoeira Angola in 1982 in the well known "Grupo de Capoeira Angola Pelourinho (GCAP)" with the masters Moraes and Cobra Mansa.
In 1992 he received the title of Contra-Mestre and worked on several social projects with Capoeira.
In 1994 he left the GCAP and created his own group to later join Mestre Cobra Mansa in the "International Capoeira Angola Foundation (ICAF)".
In 2003 he received the title of "Mestre de Capoeira Angola" at the 9th international meeting of Capoeira Angola, realized by the FICA in Belo Horizonte.
